Do Cranes Fly at night?

Just then tonight 

Strolling

I saw them

White and strong

Against the blue/black sky

Overhead they came

Swiftly

I craned my neck to see

As they passed above me

Overhead and gone again.

 

Wondering,

What is this gift

From Lady Gaia?

Cranes at night?

Thirty or more in flight

Their formation

Not a true V

Most like a yod

From the Hebrew God?
